Wool & natural materials

Why wool works while you sleep

Wool has dressed beds for centuries for practical reasons, not romantic ones. Under our Pure Material Standard™, every piece is filled with pure wool: no synthetic blends, no bleaching, no chemical finishing.

  • It breathes

Wool fibre moves air constantly, so heat doesn't build up the way it does in foam.

  • It balances temperature

The same bedding helps keep you comfortable in July and January alike.

  • It manages moisture

Wool absorbs up to a third of its weight in moisture and releases it, staying dry to the touch.

  • It can be adjusted

Wool filling can be added, removed or re-fluffed, so a pillow or topper can change with you.

Craftsmanship

Cut, filled, tufted and sewn by hand

"Handmade" isn't a mood here. It's the production line. Every order passes through the same hands, in the same sequence, in our own workshop.

  1. Wool preparation

Certified wool is opened, aired and weighed for your exact piece.

  2. Fabric cutting

Cotton, linen or silk casing is cut to your dimensions, standard or custom.

  3. Filling

Wool is layered by hand until the piece reaches its intended firmness.

  4. Hand tufting

Long needles anchor the filling to keep it even through years of use.

  5. Sewing & finishing

Seams are closed and edges finished at the machine and by hand.

  6. Final checks

Each piece is inspected, aired and packed for its journey to you.

What "made to order" means

Your piece doesn't exist until you order it. Nothing waits in a warehouse. Custom dimensions are part of normal production, not a special order.

Material standards

Certified, and here's what each certificate covers

Logos mean nothing without context, so: our materials carry three independent certifications, each checking a different thing.

  • Organic origin

    GOTS

The Global Organic Textile Standard certifies that a fibre is organically grown and stays clean through every processing step, from farm to finished fabric.

  • Tested for harmful substances

    OEKO-TEX

Independent laboratory testing that confirms the finished textile contains no harmful levels of regulated and unregulated substances.

  • Wool quality

    Woolmark

The wool industry's own quality mark: it certifies fibre content and quality of the wool itself.

Rosica & Jarin, where it started

Our story

The founder's story

"We didn't start with a business. We started with a baby."

When Rosica couldn't find genuinely natural bedding for her son Jarin, she made it herself, by hand, from wool. Twelve years later, the workshop she built makes beds for families around the world. The method hasn't changed: natural materials, made to order, one piece at a time.
